About searches
The most important function of an engineering content management system is the ability to quickly and easily find documents. Besides using Navigation views, TeamWork offers you multiple search methods for finding documents:
- If you want to quickly search a single property for values that start with certain text, use Key Find.
- If you want to quickly search a single property value using more conditions than available with Key Find, or you want to quickly search memo or document content, use Quick Search in the toolbar.
- If you want to search any properties, use the most conditions, or search multiple vaults, use Find Documents. Once you find the documents you are looking for, you can save the results for future reference and share them with other users.
- If you want to create shortcuts that open TeamWork and immediately run a simple search and display the results, see Understanding the command-line arguments.
All TeamWork search methods are case-insensitive. Searches are limited to the current vault context or a scope.
The following topics describe each of these methods.
